Five Finger Islands Light

Lighthouse · Petersburg County, Alaska

Five Finger Islands Light is a lighthouse in Petersburg County, Alaska. Alaska has 20 lighthouses on record at Wayfarrow.

It was built in 1935, in the interwar years, making it the 8th oldest of the 11 in Alaska with a recorded construction date; the light characteristic is recorded as Fl W 10s (a white flash every 10 seconds); the recorded designer or builder is United States Lighthouse Service.

Status check, 2026-11: The wooden 1902 lighthouse burned on December 8, 1933. The current concrete Art Deco building dates from 1935, so the record's year of 1902 is wrong. Height is left null because the NRHP form and USLHS give 68 ft, but a 1935 description quoted by Lighthouse Friends puts the focal plane at 31 ft. Five Finger Islands Light is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It stands at 57.2706° N, 133.6303° W.
