Status check, 2026-11: This 1882 cast-iron 'sparkplug' lighthouse was discontinued in 1953 and now runs as a private navigation aid. A nonprofit, the Stamford Harbor Lighthouse Project, bought it in August 2023. Stamford Harbor Ledge Light is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is not reachable by road: the nearest road is about 1 mile away, so it is seen from shore or reached by water. It stands at 41.0133° N, 73.5433° W.
